Blessed is our God, now and ever unto ages of ages!

God has blessed the founding of our new men's Orthodox Christian Monastery, under the protection of St. Demetrios and the direction of Metropolitan Jonah. Our monastic brotherhood found a home in Spotsylvania, VA, at the beginning of October 2020 when we closed on a house after a successful funding drive. Already, we are experiencing significant growth, with the brotherhood expanding through the tonsuring of a Rassophore Hierodeacon, a Small Schema Hierodeacon, and several young men interested in joining the community while working outside the monastery to help pay the mortgage and living expenses. Already near capacity, we are creating rooms in the basement for monastic cells. These are good problems to have! The Library is also expanding to house the archives of the blessed Bishop Basil (Radzianko). Our liturgical life is taking shape and, in addition to our community prayers, we regularly attend Saint Herman of Alaska Church, in nearby Stafford, VA. We are working to develop a full daily cycle of services, frequent Liturgies, and to plan and develop our monastery industries. We are grateful to all who have furthered our development, and invite you to join with our supporters through both your prayers and through your financial generosity! -Metropolitian Jonah and the Brotherhood

Also Monday’s are desert days where our only service is in the evening starting at 5pm (9th hour, Jesus Prayer, and Vespers).
