This coaster is made traditionally in Hutsul region in the Carpathian mountains, where masters of their craft make products in the national style to improve the quality of everyday life. There is the Carpathian juniper on the bottom part of the product, and when heated this coaster emits a pleasant smell of juniper. Thin branches of juniper wood are used, which makes the table mat especially beautiful. Sackcloth, on which the pattern is attached, is glued to the upper side of the fabric. In this case two sunflowers are in the frame of the small squares of dark wood. The master uses a different wood, which differs in color. This technique makes the pattern much more beautiful.
